Meet Dr. Brian Klym

Dr. Brian Klym discovered his passion for dentistry at an early age. Growing up in a dental family and surrounded by members of the dental community, he felt destined to follow in his parents’ footsteps. As a result, he pushed himself to learn as much as he could about dentistry by training with the best available teachers.

With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Klym is fully qualified to provide essential care for you and your family. That means offering our patients a full range of treatment options, from dental implants to teeth whitening to root canal therapy.

Dr. Klym cares deeply about each of our patients and he wants you to feel at home in our office. He really takes the time to listen to our patients so he can provide the care you really need.

Dr. Klym doesn’t believe in taking shortcuts with your health. Unlike some dentists, he always looks for a long-term solution rather than just offering you a quick fix. This results in less time spent in the dental chair and a higher level of care for our patients.

Education

Dr. Klym earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan in 1996. (Go Wolverines!) From there, he went on to train under several prestigious dentists, learning a wide range of skills.

Dr. Klym earned his Fellowship from the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute in 2009, which means he’s completed all of their surgical sessions and met additional requirements necessary for board certification with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Dr. Klym was awarded Diplomate status by the ICOI in 2018. In order to achieve this honor, a dentist must perform over 120 implant restorations, complete 250 hours of continuing education in oral implantology, either author a paper or give two presentations on implant dentistry, and pass the rigorous ICOI written examination.

Dr. Klym is licensed to perform IV sedation to provide our patients with greater comfort during treatment. He’s also served as a contributor to The Dental Advisor Magazine as a clinical consultant since 1999.

I have dental anxiety, how can you help?

We want you to be comfortable throughout your treatments which is why we proudly offer IV sedation. Whether you suffer from dental anxiety, have a low pain tolerance, or simply prefer to be relaxed throughout your treatment, we want to relieve your stress. If you prefer to undergo treatment without sedation, there are a few ways you can prepare for your appointment, including:

  • Bring headphones to distract yourself from the noise
  • Choose an appointment time that allows you to arrive without feeling rushed
  • Take regular breaths throughout the procedure– some patients tend to hold their breath
  • Avoid caffeine prior to your appointment
